Police begin house-to- house search for looted property

The police in Cross Rivers State had commenced house-to house search for looted property in the state.
This is coming less than 24 hours after Governor Ben Ayade ordered the search of the looted items.
The Inspector General of Police, had also ordered his men nationwide to go after hoodlums involved in looting of public and private property during the #EndSARS protests.
According to media reports, between Friday and Saturday last week, hoodlums and looters broke into over 35 government and private properties, looted several items and set some buildings ablaze.
An eyewitness revealed that the search began at Anantigha, Calabar South local government area of the state and the security operatives were seen in two truckloads, Searching for looted items.
He said “Some unknown looters returned looted items (Chair, Laptop & Television) to the Street, no one picks them… Jungle race when the army drives near.”
Wawa News Global checks revealed that military patrols, searches & roadblocks have intensified in Calabar the state capital, and other parts of the state.
