Corrupt Nigerian politicians may be in for hard times as the Leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has banned them from traveling outside the shores of the country.
Kanu who announced the ban during a live broadcast on Radio Biafra vowed that any day any corrupt Nigerian political office holder was sighted in any foreign country, such a person would be publicly disgraced and humiliated.
The IPOB leader who blamed the infrastructural decay and endemic corruption in Nigeria on the avarice of the politicians, also said that the children of such politicians schooling abroad would be chased back home by the diasporan Nigerians to enroll in schools which their parents failed to renovate and fund at home.
He regretted that Nigerian politicians allow public infrastructure particularly schools to collapse in the country while funding their children’s education abroad with stolen public funds.
Kanu who was highly aggrieved over the massacre of peaceful Nigerian youths protesting against police brutality and bad governance at Likki Toll Gate by the Army, said the ban was with immediate effect.
His words: ” From today, October 25, 2020, if we get you abroad,we will disgrace you. Stay at home until you meet the 23 demands of the youths.
” No corrupt Nigerian politician will be allowed to travel abroad again. No more medical trip abroad until you build the hospitals at home.
“Those of them whose children are schooling abroad, their children will be forced home to finish their studies at home because their fathers like Nigeria and they must enjoy their Nigeria.
” I don’t care if you are ex-President Jonathan, or ex-President OBJ, stay at home and enjoy your Nigeria. Prepare your children to return home.
” This is a revolution and we will not allow those who corruptly rich politicians to continue to hold us down”.
Kanu said the list of corrupt Nigerian politicians and their children schooling abroad would be compiled for immediate action.Steve Oko, Publisher/C.E.O, WaWa News Global.
