Sit-at-home order: Ohanaeze youths back IPOB
*Warns security agents
* Says any attack against Biafra agitators, attack against Igbo

The youths wings of the apex Igbo socio-cultural body, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, has declared support for the sit-at -home order issued by the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra against Nigeria’s 60th anniversary celebration on October 1st.
Ohanaeze Youth Council, OYC, National President, Comrade Igboayaka O Igboayaka  made the declaration at a press conference in Abuja on Wednesday.
This is coming less than a week the Ohanaeze parent body also gave its nod to the order, even as the agitators Oduduwa republic have also called for a boycott of Nigeria’s independence anniversary events.
OYC also declared support for all the democratic process of Pro-Biafrans in their quest to  actualize the sovereign state of Biafra .
Igboayaka in a press statement by his Senior Special Assistant, SSA on Public Enlightenment,  Comrade Andy Ndubuisi, said Nigeria had not been fair to Ndigbo, hence the need for the tribe to seek self autonomy. 
He, however, advised Pro-Biafrans to maintain peace and order in their agitation while warning Nigeria government against any violent attack on the group.
OYC  stressed that any forceful move against Biafra agitators  would be seen as an attack against Ndigbo and must be resisted by every necessary techniques.
According to the  statement, “time has gone when Pro-Biafrans are treated with every violent attack by security agents”.
OYC urged  Ndigbo to “democratically adhere to the sit-At-Home order.”
It read :”The only way to gain Independence of Biafra nation peacefully would be to observe the order and enjoined all Biafrans at home and in diaspora to join the move.”
The Council also called on the general public and Ndigbo “to disregard the National news paper publication made on 25th September by Mr. Okechukwu Isigusoro and Mr. Okwu Nnabuife condeming the sit-At-Home with the name”Ohaneze Ndigbo Youth Council”.
It  described Isiguzoro  group as “shenanigans paid by the fulani political oligarchy to play on gallery against the political interest of Ndigbo.”
Comrade Igboayaka appealed to Igbo traders at the major cities in the country “especially those in Onitsha, Aba, Enugu, Asaba, Umuahia, Owerri, Portharcourt, Nnewi, Orlu, Okigwe and other areas to observe the order by remaining indoor as the way to honour the fallen heroes”.
It read :” The peaceful process adopted by the Pro-Biafra group among IPOB, MASSOB, BIM, MOBIN EPC and ZONIST should be appreciated by Nigeria government and called those who are against the order to retrace their word.”
OYC warned “all the political actors, executives, legislators and judiciary in Nigeria government to steer clear from probiafrans democratic activities, and apply every peaceful strategic and diplomatic means to save the fragile Nigeria democracy from hitting bricks of wall.”
