Encomiums as Greg Ibe donates more educational materials to Abia schools


The Principals of Okporo Ahaba Junior and Senior Secondary Schools have appluaded Professor Greg Ikechukwu Ibe the founder and Chancellor of Gregory University Uturu, for donating more instructional education materials to their school.
They appreciated him while receiving over 500 reading materials and free exercise books donated to the schools through his “Equip Abia State Primary and Secondary Schools Project” (EASPSSP).
In their separate speeches, the Senior secondary school Principal Mr Ahuchama Daniel said he is overwhelmed by the Humane heart of this philanthropist. He expressed his surprise that we still have people who are determined to assist the growth of education and said they have not witnessed this kind of benevolent gesture for a very long time .
He also asked the team representing the Professor to extend their profound gratitude to the educationists; Prof Greg Ikechukwu Ibe.
The Principal Okporo Ahaba Junior Secondary school; Mrs Emonye Gift Roseline thanked Prof. Greg Ibe, the team representing him and Abia Crusaders Foundation for the donations and prayed God almighty to bless him in all his endeavours.



Lady Pat Nnaji, the chief of staff to the Chairman, who represented Comrade Ikechukwu Anyatonwu, the Executive Chairman of Isiala Ngwa South LGA; thanked Prof Greg Ibe for his magnanimity while saying that it is only those with good heart and lovers of education that can invest in such priceless ventures. while describing the Chairman of the local government as a lover of education, she thanked him for his commitment to education development. Little wonder he recommended Okporo Ahaba junior and senior secondary schools to benefit from Prof Greg Ibe’s milk of human kindness. She charged the students to make good use of the materials to excel to the apex of their endeavours.
Inter allia , Cmrd Christian Ofondu who represented Prof Greg Ikechukwu Ibe, explained that the “Equip Abia State Primary and Secondary Schools Project” through which the donations of education instructional materials where made to schools is on going and conducted through Prof. Greg Ibe’s Education Intervention program.
He said that through this intervention, University students has also benefited 350 scholarships slots cutting across the 17 LGAs of Abia State.
Prof Ibe has also donated science, Laboratory equipments, computers and other education materials to more than 85% of the schools in Abia State from 2014 to date .
Presently during this current exercise; Equip Abia State Primary and Secondary schools project he has donated instructional materials to more than 50 schools in Abia State and still counting.
He explained, “this is the first time a school is lucky enough to benefit from the two programmes; donations of over five hundred (500) reading materials to equip there library and free exercise books to the students of the schools”.
While commending the Principals, staff and Students of Okoro Ahaba secondary Schools for being on ground to receive the materials he assured the Principals of Prof Greg’s Plans to Partner the Schools in their areas of need. He advised the students to appreciate this priceless gesture by taking their studies serious and called on them to emulate Prof Greg Ibe who unlike them toiled seriously to pay his own school fees and now investing in their education.
The Students through their representative thanked Prof Greg Ibe for investing in their education and prayed that God almighty in his infinite mercy shall grant him his governorship ambition come 2023.
Also in the entourage were Chief Peter Onwumelu ; a member of ACF Steering Committee, Princely Kingsley Ngunu and Mr Nnenji Jude; the Ambassador of the foundation representing Abia South LGA.
