Philanthropist and Chancellor of Gregory University Uturu, Professor Greg Ibe, has donated 3277 bags of rice for distribution to Abians at the grass root.

The gesture according to the industrialist is part of his Christmas packages for Abians at the grass root.

This is as he has also inuagurated the Abia Crusaders Foundation in the 292 ABSIEC Wards across the state.

The Christmas largesse is for the 292 Wards and 17 Local Government Areas in the state.

Team Leaders, Hon. Prince Emeka Okafor (for Team A) and Chief Surveyor C. Ibeaja (for Team B), inuagurated the foundation on behalf of Professor Ibe in their respective zones.

Team A handled the inauguration of 8 LGAs namely Arochukwu, Bende, Ohafia, Isuikwuato and Umunneochi of Abia North and Ikwuano, Umuahia South and Umuahia North LGA of the foundation in Abia Central Senatorial district.

Team B undertook Ukwa West, Ukwa East, Ugwunagbo, Obingwa, Aba North and Aba South of Abia South senatorial district and Osisioma, Isiala Ngwa South and Isiala Ngwa North of Abia Central Senatorial district.

The occasion showcased the readiness of committed personalities who are determined to ensure that Abians continue to gain better fortunes and move the State forward.

They have woken up with the enthusiasm, tenacity and will power to better God’s own State. The strength of their resolve can even be felt through their unified voices ladened with passion and panache to ensure that Prof Greg Ibe, the Chancellor of Gregory University Uturu, Abia State is supported to run for the number one position in the State.

The Ambassadors of the Foundation in their respective 292 ABSIEC Wards and their Colleagues at the 17 LGA’s of Abia State laid their hearts bear to stand for what they believe.

The leaders of the inauguration teams Hon Prince Emeka Okafor for Team A and Chief Surveyor Ibeaja C of Team B went down the store house of Prof Greg Ibe’s exploits, achievements and contributions to the growth of Abia State, South East, Nigeria and even Africa and the world, to put up their reasons and resolutions for the support of Prof Greg Ibe for the position of Governor come 2023.

In their voices the representatives rented the air in synchronized rhythm to echo that Prof Greg Ikechukwu Ibe is an aspirant that has as much pedigree as Prof Chukwuma Soludo, the audacity of Governor Nyesom Wike and the developmental acuity of Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State all embedded in one personality to steer our State to further development.

As one local parlance will posit “What do a cigarette smoker wants in cigarette if not smoke”?

Shortly after the inauguration of the Abia Crusaders Foundation representatives in the 292 wards and 17 LGAs, there was a distribution exercise of Christmas gifts of 3277 bags of rice packaged in 50, 25 and 10 kg to the inaugurated representatives of the Foundation.
