FG begins training of Abia youths on satellite, internet technology

The Federal Government, Monday, began a five-day training of 50 Abia young graduates on internet and satellite technology.
The training which is anchored by the Federal Ministry of Communications & Digital Economy is aimed at reducing unemployment and endless search for white collar jobs.
Participants are drawn from all 17 Local Government Areas of the state.
In an interview with Wawa News Global, one of the participants, Mr. Nduoma Okoroafor, expressed joy over the training which he said was a capacity building and empowerment for self reliance.
He commended the Minister of States for Mines and Steel Development, Dr. Uche Ogah, for attracting the training which he said, would make huge economic impact on youths.
Nduoma further noted that any effort geared towards youth empowerment “is the most effective way of fighting crime” considering the ripple effects of having a productive youth population.
He noted that only Abia and Ebonyi States were selected from South East geopolitical zone, and thanked Dr. Ogah for “projecting the cause of Abia youths”.
Another participant, Mr. Nkwocha Chibunna from Ikwuano, said that he was prepared to acquire the needed skill that would enable him veer into the digital technology for self reliance.
The graduate of Marketing said it was the first time he would be participating from any federal government sponsored training and empowerment scheme in the state.
Chibunna appealed to the federal government to make real without delay, its promises to empower the participants to enable them establish themselves.
