ISUN cooperative boss lauds FG over survival fund stimulus package

The National President of ISUN Multi-purpose Cooperative Society, Engineer Isaac Nkole, has lauded the Federal Government for the disbursement of survival fund stimulus package to poor Nigerians especially Small and Medium Enterprises, SMEs adversely affected by the Covid-19 induced economic meltdown.

Nkole whose cooperative society is one of the facilitating civil society groups involved in facilitating the disbursement said that the package which the federal government started disbursing last month had restored the hope of many affected families.
He told newsmen in Umuahia that many of the members of his cooperative who had lost every hope of celebrating this Christmas and New Year due to economic hardship had confirmed to him that they had received their second payment since the scheme started.
Each beneficiary is paid between N30,000 and N50,000.
He commended President Muhamnadu Buhari for the gesture which he said had tremendous direct impact on many lives.
Nkole also commended the federal government for the ongoing disbursement of Covid-19 loan to individuals and households as well as to SMEs which will soon commence.
The scheme according to him has rekindled the hope of many frustrated Nigerians.
He advised beneficiaries of the packages to put them to good use so as to help reduce hardship in society.
