God forbid! I’ll never join APC – Fayose

 Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State has sworn never to defect to the ruling All Progressive Congress,  APC.

The vocal Governor  was reacting to a statement credited to the Ekiti State Chairman of APC , Paul Omotoso, that Fayose would not be welcomed in the party in the event of his dumping his Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Wawa News Global recalls that Fayose had hinted he might dump PDP over what an attempt by strangers to hijack the party which they had sacrificed so much to build.

Fayose who was rather preferred Aminu Tambuwal as the Presidential candidate of the party was not favourably disposed to the emergence of Atiku Abubakar as PDP ‘s flag bearer in the 2019 poll.

He threatened to dump PDP in protest after some consultations.

But in swift response APC  warned the Ekiti Governor not to contemplate joining the party as that would not stop the anti graft agency from arresting and prosecuting him over alleged financial fraud after his tenure.

However,  Fayose has fired back saying he will never have anything to do with APC which he described as an evil party.

His words :“APC my foot! I will never have anything to do with APC.

“For the party’s leaders to be saying that Fayose is coming to APC amounts to unnecessary dissipation of energy.

“I will never, ever, go to APC and will never ever have anything to do with APC “.
