Covid -19: Ikpeazu tests negative, two aides test positive
. Directs LG chairmen, deputies to go for test

Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State has said that he has tested negative to the coronavirus pandemic.
The governor who submitted himself to test following the death of his Commissioner for Environment, Dr. Solomon Ogunji, said the result of his blood sample collected on Saturday was out, and that it tested negative.
Ikpeazu who disclosed this Tuesday in a press statement he personally signed, however regretted that two of his aides tested positive to the pandemic.
The governor who has been on self isolation since weekend had also directed his Deputy, Sir Ude Oko Chukwu, and all members of the State Executive Council to also submit themselves for compulsory test.
He, however, did not disclose the identities of his aides who tested positive to the dreaded disease.
Commissioner for Information, Chief John Okiyi Kalu who has also been on self isolation had earlier posted on his facebook page that his own result also returned negative, hinting that he would soon resume duties.

Meanwhile, the governor has directed all Local Government Chairmen in the state as well as their Deputies to also submit themselves for compulsory test.
He also directed the state epidiomologist to commence mass random test of residents of the state as part of the measures to contain the spread of the dreaded pandemic.
