* Pledge assistace to Nnamdi Kanu

Traditional rulers from South East and South South geopolitical zones have pledged their unalloyed support towards the struggles for the actualisation of the sovereign state of Biafra.

The monarchs who made the declaration when they visited the Afaraukwu Umuahia country home of the Leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu to condole with the family over the death of their parents, said current developments in Nigeria had made the Biafra option inevitable and the last hope for people from both zones.
According to them South East and South South people have been made the targets and victims of the bad policies and misrule of the current administration in the country.
The monarchs called on people of the zones still undecided over the agitation for self rule to better join the struggle, as according to them, Nigeria holds no hope for anybody from the Old Eastern region.
They particularly urged the political elite to stop attacking Kanu but rather synergy with him towards peaceful restoration of Biafra.
According to them restoration of Biafra does not require another war but sustained peaceful agitation and unity of purpose.
The monarchs appealed to the United Nations, the United States of America and the international community to intervene against the wickedness perpetrated against the people of the region by the cabal at the centre.
Spokesman of the monarchs, HRH Eze Dr. Lt Gideon Ejike (Mmiri Enweghi Ilo of Ozu Ancient kingdom) in Ideato North Local Government Area of Imo state, Biafran land, said people of the region had firmly resolved to push for self rule.
He said the royal fathers would mobilise their subjects to fully key into the move having been convinced beyond every doubt that Nigeria holds no hope for people of Old Eastern region.
The monarch said every prediction by Nnamdi Kanu about Nigeria had all happened accordingly, thus confirming that Nigeria has no plans but perpetual enslavement for the region.
Adding his voice, HRM Eze Ifeanyichukwu Okeke of Ekwulobia, in Anambra State said Nigeria had expired and could no longer bind together as a united entity.
He regretted that the current administration had further divided the country along ethnic lines through its wicked, anti -people and tribalistic policies.
The monarch who said Biafra remained the only solution, charged agitators of the new Republic on the need to maintain peace and unity among themselves.
He said that unity of purpose and peace among the agitators would accelerate the restoration of Biafra .
In his contribution, HRM Onyenweala Igwuocha, (king of Alumili, the Ohazurumee viii), lamponed the Federal Government for treating the people of the Old Eastern region particularly Ndigbo as conquered slaves.
He vowed that no amount of intimidation would make the people back down in their resolve to restore Biafra.
“We are here today to tell the nation that what we need is our nation because the nation is already before us, we are not Hausa, we are not Arewa, not Oduduwa and we cannot be them.
“So, you don’t force water and oil to be together. We cannot be together. So, I want the whole world and all the world power to listen and hear us.
“We can’t live together. We have been living for over 500years ago and that is the reason the Ezes, the real owners of Biafra land have stood up and said enough is enough! This thing has to stop and what we need is Biafra!”
In his speech, the Public Relations Officer, PRO of Council of Ndieze in Biafra land, HRM Eze Nnamdi Ochor, praised Kanu for his uncommon sacrifices towards the restoration of Biafra which according to him were the reason he lost both parents at the same time.
The monarch said Kanu’s high wired international diplomatic consultations and other strategic efforts would make Biafra restoration sooner than expected.
