At last, PDP’s Ihedioha wins Imo guber poll

The candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Hon Emeka Ihedioha, has been declared winner of the governorship election in Imo State.
He polled 273,404 out of the 714,355 total valid vote cast.
The candidate of Action Alliance, and son in law of the incumbent Gov. Rochas Okorocha, Mr. Uche Nwosu scored 190,364 to finish second.
Returning Officer and Vice Chancellor of the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike, Abia State, Professor Francis Otunta, declared Ihedioha winner amidst tight security at the INEC office in Owerri.

•Total number of registered voters across the State- 2,221,008
•Accredited voters across the State- 823,743
•Valid Votes cast 714,355
•Rejected votes 25,130
•Total votes cast 739,485
