PDP sweeps Abia assembly poll

The ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has swept the House of Assembly poll in Abia State as it won 19 out of the 24 seats.
All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, got three seats while the All Progressive Congress, APC, got two seats.
While the Speaker, Chikwendu Kalu (PDP), Isiala Ngwa South was returned, his Deputy, Cosmos Ndukwe also of PDP (Bende North) could not make it back to the House as he was dislodged by Chukwu Chijioke of the APC.
According to the list of successful candidates released by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, only 11 old members comprising 10 PDP and one APGA returned while 13  new members joined them.
Below is a full list of the lawmakers -elect and their parties :

11. Solomon Akpulono PDP Obingwa East
12. Thomas Okoro  PDP Obingwa West
13. Egwuatu Obasi PDP Ohafia North
