Greg Ibe emerges as patron, ESUT ex-students leaders association

The Abia State All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, governorship candidate, Professor Greg Ibe, has emerged as the patron, Enugu State University of Science and Technology, ESUT Ex-Student Leaders Association, EESLA.

The honour will be confered on the Professor of Entrepreneur by his alma mater at the 2022 convocation ceremony of the institution scheduled for November 24.

According to a letter of notification transmitted to the governorship hopeful who is also an alumnus of the great institution, he was chosen for the investiture due to his outstanding performances both as a student leader and in his private life.

The letter jointly signed by the National Chairman of EESLA, Mr John Ugwu, a lawyer; Vice Chancellor, Professor Aloysius-Michaels Okolie; and the Chairman EESLA Investiture Committee, Hon. Chidi Chidebe; gave Gov. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi as the Chief host and Special Guest of Honour at the event.

A release from the institution noted that “Prof. Greg Ibe has become so many things to so many people with a singular underlying thread that beams humanity. Thus, Greg Ibe, has become a gift that essentially keeps giving and thankfully continues to be recognized for his ethos that has become the life force that he is.”

It recalled that Ibe is an alumnus of the aspirational Enugu State University of Science and Technology and was influential among the students body.

” While in that university as a student, having become a man of hardwork and of course, means, he embarked on life-altering welfarism for students who hailed from financially-strained backgrounds.”

It further read:”As a student of the Enugu State University of Science and Technology, Greg Ibe excelled in his courses, engaged in social activities and took on responsibilities as expected of ambitious students all the while building his business empire. Everyone who knew Greg Ibe at the time would readily attest to his boundless energy for entrepreneurship, innate intelligence, mental acuity, sagacity among other laudable virtues.

“There’s no gainsaying that in consistence with his personality, contributions to his Alma Mater, boundless capacity and personal achievements in life that again, Ex-Student Leaders of the Enugu State University of Science and Technology have found Prof. Greg Ibe worthy to be bestowed with an investiture and installation as PATRON of Enugu State University of Science and Technology Ex-Student Leaders Association on the 24th of November, 2022.

“This is another feather to a very heavily bedecked hat and will certainly not be the last hurrah and recognition for the antecedents and proclivities in greatness of the man, Professor Gregory Ikechukwu Charles Ibe, OFR.”
