Dr Uwaoma Uche, now professor

Erudite scholar and pioneer Head, Department of Mass Communication, Abia State Polytechnic Aba, Dr Uwaoma Uche has been promoted a professor of Mass Communication ( Broadcasting Management).

The promotion was conveyed to him by the Gregory University Uturu where he was a Reader until the latest promotion.
This was contained in a letter dated October 28, 2022 , with a reference number: REF:GUU/REG/SARP/UU/PRM/10/2022 a copy of which was made available to Wawa News Global.
Professor Uche is currently the Dean, College of Social and Management Sciences, Gregory University Uturu.
He started his media practice as presenter in 1989 with the Cross River Broadcasting Corporation Calabar.
The Ihechiowa-born scholar has over three decades of teaching experience in Mass Communication traversing The Polytechnic Calabar, Cross River University of Technology Calabar, Abia State University Uturu, Renaissance University Ugbawka, Hezekiah University Umudi, Temple Gate Polytechnic Aba, Abia State Polytechnic Aba and Gregory University Uturu.
He has been a resource person to NUC and NBTE in Mass Communication and also to the Technical Committee of the Nigerian National Development Plan 2020-2050.
The erudite scholar has over 64 publications to his credit in reputable international, local and institutional journals and books.
He had served as Secretary, Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, ABSU chapter; University Orator, ABSU; and Publicity Secretary, Ihechiowa Development Union.
He belongs to professional communication bodies including NUJ, ACCE, ACSPN, IMIM, NIPR, CAARS , IPDM, etc.
Professor Uche is happily married with children.
