Abia North 2023: Emma Monso pledges support for Sen Ohuabunwa

Founder of Kingdom College Word, Dr Emma Ukoha, popularly known as ‘Emma Monso’, has pledged support for the 2023 senatorial bid of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, candidate, Senator Mao Ohuabunwa.


The cleric who made the pledge Monday, when the former Leader, ECOWAS Parliament, visited him at his Ozu Abam country home, noted that although he was not a politician, as a patriot, he could not stay aloof about the governance of his people.

He described Senator Ohuabunwa as a seasoned Parliamentarian whose experience should be harnessed for better governance.
He, however, urged the PDP-led administration in the state to step up efforts in spreading the gains of democracy for the wellbeing of the people.

The Missionary decried the condition of roads in parts of the state especially in his Abam community, and pleaded for state intervention.

He also solicited the location of a polling unit near his school to enable the over 2000 students in the institution to vote during elections without being subjected to long trecking.
Dr Ukoha regretted that so many students in his college who thronged out for capturing during the Continuous Voter Registration, CVR, exercise were not all captured due to insufficient capturing machines.
Speaking earlier, Senator Ohuabunwa said he came to commiserate with the cleric over the demise of his late mother, Mama Ujara Ukoha.
He condoled with him and urged the family to take solace in the legendary legacies of his mother.
Ohuabunwa also applauded the Missionary for his heavy investments in his home town which he noted had created a lot of opportunities for the locals.
” Your investments at home alone shows you want progress and development of our people”, he said.
Describing the cleric as a dependable ally, Senator Ohuabunwa solicited his support for his senatorial project.
Ohuabunwa who said his goal to return to the Senate was to enable him complete his lofty dreams which were truncated by his ouster in 2019 .
He regretted that most of his projects including were abandoned due to unnecessary political contentions and the inability of his successor to follow up on them.
Ohuabunwa who decried the condition of the bridge called for urgent attention on the bridge to avoid sudden disaster.
” Iku bridge is just an accident about to happen. The bridge is about to collapse because of unnecessary politics which led to its abandonment when I left the Senate.
. After I attracted the bridge people started dragging who attracted it but since 2019 I left the Senate, can they point at what else they have done to build the bridge?
Ohuabunwa promised to use his return to the red chambers to deliver on so many projects in the constituency.
