Ohuabunwa visits family of Ohafia stray bullet victim

Senator Mao Ohuabunwa has visited the family of Mr Ajunwa Gordon, a lawyer whose daughter, Chiemela was killed recently by a stray bullet at Ebem Ohafia during a confrontation between soldiers and some youths on a day Senator Orji Uzor Kalu visited the Community.

Ohuabunwa who visited the family on Saturday, expressed sadness over the unfortunate incident and appealed to them not to allow the trauma to overwhelm them.

He prayed God to grant them the fortitude to bear the painful loss, and to also grant the deceased eternal repose in his kingdom.

The former Leader ECOWAS Parliament, equally used the opportunity to appeal for calm.

He expressed worry over the rising insecurity in Abia North, and urged the Federal Government to rise to its constitutional responsibility of protecting lives and property of citizens.

Responding, Ajunwa thanked the Senator for coming to identify with the family, describing the incident as very devastating.

He said that the deceased was very dear to the family, noting that the family will not easily overcome the shock of her tragic exist.
