Breaking: Sen Abaribe to speak on Ikengaonline town-hall on 2023′ polls in S’East

Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe representing Abia South senatorial district, will this evening, July 29, by 7:00 pm deliver a lecture at the Ikenga inaugural town hall virtual meeting.
The former Senate Minority Leader, according to a press release by the Editor-in-Chief of the online Newspapers, Uche Ugboajah, will also respond to questions from participants.
Senator Abaribe who was former Deputy Governor of Abia State will speak on “The South-East and the 2023 general election: Participation in the midst of Insecurity.”
Ikengaonline is a South-East-focused media platform, which aims to give voice to citizens of the South-East, and parts of Rivers and Delta states, and highlight the challenges facing the region.
The town hall meeting which will hold on Zoom (https://us06web.zoom.us/j/84753810187?pwd=b1NsQndHSjFwc1ZiSUtqVU9kT3R3Zz09) at 7p.m. West African (Nigerian) Time, is the first in a series of scheduled monthly meetings meant to discuss topical issues facing the South-East zone of Nigeria in particular, and the nation in general.
Special guests expected at the event include: Dr Alex Chidozie, Publicity Secretary, Ohanaeze Ndigbo; Professor Chidi Odinkalu of the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University, USA; Prof Joy Ngozi Ezeilo, legal scholar and founder of Women Aid Collective (WACOL); and Comrade Chris Isiguzo, National President, Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ).
Others include Prince Emmanuel Kanu, a younger brother to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB); civil society leaders and youths from the South-East.
The event will be moderated by Dr. Osmund Agbo and Dr Chido Onumah.
Ikengaonline is a publication of Ikenga Media and Cultural Awareness Initiative (IMCAI), a non-profit entity that seeks to promote positive socio-cultural values, accountability and good governance through media and public education.
Ikengaonline is part of the Collaborative Media Engagement for Development Inclusivity and Accountability Project, a multi-level intervention for media independence and government accountability, managed by the Wole Soyinka Centre for Investigative Journalism (WSCIJ) and supported by MacArthur Foundation.
