EXPOSED!! Top Abia PDP guber aspirant heading for Benue for secret meeting with Ayu

Wawa News Global has been reliably informed that one of the top governorship aspirants in Abia State is now on his way to Benue for a secret meeting with the National Chairman of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Senator Iyorchia Ayu.
It is however, not confirmed if the National Chairman is aware of such mission.
The governorship aspirant believed to be enjoying the support of powerful forces in the state is on the clandestine mission to sell his candidacy to the PDP Chairman who is said to be unhappy with the controversy his ambition is generating.
According to our source, the PDP Chairman is more disposed to a candidate that is a product of due process and based on the prevailing local arrangement, but the candidate and those packaging him are “desperately trying” to soften the hard stance of Ayu.
The source who is a top stakeholder of the ruling party advised the National Chairman to be cautious of any parley with any aspirant.
According to the source, any attempt to foist any candidate on Abia PDP will lead to the implosion of the party and ultimately result to its defeat in 2023.
The source argued that “if the PDP Chairman wants to hold any meeting with an aspirant, he should also invite all the other aspirants from Abia for similar meeting.”
” We have much respect for our National Chairman and he should continue to maintain his neutrality which is a nice position he has taken. He should not allow any desperate aspirant come around him for any private meeting because we are watching”.
Attempt to reach the PDP National Chairman was not successful as the former Senate President did not pick a call put across to him.
Wawa News Global reports that when Senator Ayu visited Abia State last month to commission a specialist hospital, he told the Governor and stakeholders of the party to resolve their differences over the zoning of the governorship ticket.
He made it clear that the National leadership of the party under his watch was not ready to interfere in the local zoning arrangement of any state chapter of the party.
Ayu who is believed to be a no nonsense character is unlikely to succumb to pressure to pay a blind eye to imposition in any state.
