You can deliver, Bende PDP stakeholders tell Greg Ibe

A frontline governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Professor Greg Ibe, has been assured of support by the stakeholders of the party is Bende Local Government Area.

The assurance was given when Professor Ibe’s consultation team moved to Bende to consult the stakeholders on his quest for Governorship of Abia State after the tenure of  Governor Okezie Ikpeazu.

On arrival, the team paid a courtesy visit to the Chairman of Bende LGA amidst the presence of Critical PDP Stakeholders of Bende LGA.

The Executive Chairman while welcoming Prof. Greg Ibe and his team expressed satisfaction that he has shown interest for the number one leadership position of the State.

He said, presently, our Governor Okezie Ikpeazu Ph.D has achieved a lot in making Abia a better place. He continued that Prof. Ibe is not a new person in the field of politics and laudable achievements.

the Bende LGA boss, disclosed in the course of interacting with some of his political colleagues and some personalities, he learnt so many of his exploits. He said he is also aware of the scholarships awards he has given to so many Abians and his efforts in training entrepreneurs both locally and internationally. He implored him to continue his good works that God almighty shall reward him.

Prof. Greg Ibe during his consultations with the stakeholders expressed his gratitude for the huge and quality attendance. He stated he is glad our dear Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu structured a thirty development plan for Abia State. He is equally proud the Governor is a champion of enterpreneurship who has done a lot to promote made in Aba goods.

He wished to start from where Governor Okezie will stop and grow more fortunes for God’s own State. He disclosed he has already discussed with Senator MAO Ohuabunwa on assisting to enact a legislation that will enable the piping of a gas line from Akwa Ibom through Abia State to Nnewi when he gets back to the Red Chambers while explaining that this gas piping shall encourage the industrilization of Abia State in particular, South Eastern States and Nigeria in general.

He continued, this move shall create job opportunities for our teeming youths and business openings for our people. He continued, if given the opportunity to vy, he will decentralise his government to provide even development in all the 17 LGAs of Abia State. He said his interest in seeking to be the governor of Abia State is to use his wealth of experience, connections, goodwill both locally and internationally to attract rapid development to Abia State. He called on all Stakeholders of Bende LGA to afford him the opportunity to impact positively on Abians.

In their responses, the Stakeholders of Bende South, North, the youths and the women representative, in the persons of Prof. Hagler Okorie, Hon. Chief P. C Onyegbu, Commissioner for Basic Education; Hon. Ukwu Rocks Emma, the Women Leader; Mrs Okpara Igbo and The Youth Leader ; Hon. Chukwuemeka Collins Chukwu showered enconiums on Prof. Greg Ibe while describing him as a man versed in knowledge, cognate experience and with an outstanding pedigree to make them proud if he succeeds .They assured him they we support and encouraged him to keep on consulting.

The high point of the consultation was the distribution of Prof. Greg Ikechukwu Ibe’s manifesto.

Godwin Ndom, Commissioner for Sports; Hon. Karibe Ojigwe, Hon. Chief P. C. MBA, Hon. Chief P. C. Onyegbu, Prof. Hagler Okorie, State PDP Treasurer; Hon. Chief Gabriel Elendu and other emminent personalities and outstanding Members of PDP too numerous to mention here.

The consultation team while exiting from the Local Governent made a stop at the residence of House of Assembly member representing Bende South State Constituency; Hon Chief Emmanuel Chinedum Ndubuisi (Ijiriji)
