Senator Mao Ohuabunwa has picked nomination and expression of interest form for the 2023 senatorial seat for Abia North.
Ohuabunwa stormed the Wadata House national secretariat of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Thursday with a retinue of friends and political associates to pick the forms.
Addressing newsmen later, the former Leader, House of Representatives, said he decided to heed the calls by various individuals and groups from Abia North especially the youths urging him to return to the Senate.
He said he was prepared to restore the lost voice of Abia North at the Senate, saying that he is still counting on the continued support of the people.
Senator Ohuabunwa assured that with the signing of the New Electoral Act into law the era of manipulation of election results was over.
He said that his mandate would never be stolen again while urging all eligible voters in Abia North yet to get their Permanent Voter Card, PVC, to hurry for the document ahead of the 2023 polls, assuring them that their votes will count.
