Madam Maureen Nosike goes home in style

The remains of late Mrs Maureen Mosindie Nosike has been laid to rest in her husband’s home town Amutu Ezeama, Imezi Owa, in the Ezeagu Local Government Area of Enugu State.
The late Mrs Maureen Nosike was aged 82 years.
The funeral mass of the deceased was conducted in line with doctrines of the Roman Catholic Church, with relatives, friends and we’ll wishers of the family gathered from all walks of life to bid her farewell.
In his funeral homily, the Presiding Priest reminded all about the inevitability of death, while charging the living to live a life worthy of praise, in order to inherit God’s kingdom at death.
It was indeed a celebration of a life well lived by the deceased, at the colourful funeral ceremony at Owa Ezeagu with eulogies, testimonies and funeral farewell songs by friends and relatives of the deceased.
Son of the deceased Matriarch of the Nosike’s Mr Richard Nosike described her as a ‘ Mother General’ a kind hearted and easy going fellow, who imparted live virtues humanity. ‘She assisted anyone in need that comes her way, during her life time’ Richard had spoken to Newsmen in an emotional laden voice.
According to him, the entire household have lost a pillar, in which a big vaccum had been created, as a result of her demise, being one difficult to fill.
He prayed God to grant her soul eternal rest in His bosom.
Mrs Kate Offor, President General Ezekwesili Women Social Club Ezeagu, described the late Matriarch of the Nosike’s as a worthy member of the Club, whose contributions to the Club’s welfare, contributed to its growth.
She prayed God to comfort the family in this time of grief, and to grant her soul eternal rest in His bosom.
Other dignitaries that spoke to Newsmen during the funeral, includes Dr Anthony Okechukwu Ugboma, Engr Chudi Obinwa, Omelora Charitable, Chief Ugwuoba, Chief Chigbo Ezike, Prince Obiajulu Idigo, Ugochukwu Azubuike, Hon Sam Smith Okpala ( Mmili Orumba), and others too numerous to mention.
The late Maureen Mosindie Nosike, was born to the family of Mr and Mrs Aniogu of Umualori Village Onitsha, Anambra State.
She was married to her late husband Mr Richard Nosike.
The late Mrs Maureen Nosike rose to the pinnacle of her earthly career in 1992, when she was Deputy Local Government Chairman of Enugu North Local Government Area.
She was member at the Enugu State Rental Tribunal.
The deceased is survived by Six Children among whom are Osita Charles, Patrick Louis, Richard Obiekwe, Ifeoma Winifred, Emeka Michael, Chinedu Samuel, numerous grand children and relatives.
