PDP convention: APC now in panic mode, living on borrowed time – Ohuabunwa
By Steve Oko
Senator Mao Ohuabunwa has said that the ruling All Progressive Congress has caught cold over the “rebound” of the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party PDP, signaled by the successful and peaceful conduct of its national convention in Abuja on weekend.

Ohuabunwa who was reacting to the just- included convention said that ” APC is living on borrowed time because PDP is now repositioned and ready to take over power at the centre come 2023″.
He said that the inability of APC to hold a successful national convention despite being the national ruling party “is a clear indication that the party is already in disarray”.
The former Leader House of Representatives regretted that all the progress and landmark achievements recorded during PDP’s 16 years in power had been reversed and completely depleted within APC’s six years on the saddle.
“Nigerians are tired of APC; they are curiously waiting for 2023 to kick it out of power using the weapon of their votes”, Ohuabunwa fumed.
He said that the peaceful manner with which the PDP convention was conducted was a strong indication that the party was poised to wrest power in 2023 “and navigate Nigeria out of the woods and economic doldrum APC plunged the country into”.
Senator Ohuabunwa who is a member of the National Executive Council, NEC of PDP, congratulated the Senator Iyorchia Ayu-led National Working Committee, NWC, of the party, on their emergence.
Ohuabunwa commended all PDP delegates at the convention for their peaceful comportment as well as the elected party officials particularly the Deputy Legal Adviser, Okechukwu Osuoha; and the National Secretary, Senator Sam Anyanwu who he described as brother and bosom friend.
He said that the new national Chairman of the party and his team “are experienced, competent and formidable” to lead the party to victory in the 2023 polls.
Senator Ohuabunwa who is an advocate of restructuring urged Nigerians not to give up on the country but persevere and support PDP’s rescue mission in the interest of all.
He assured that PDP would meet the aspirations of Nigeria, stabilise and re-set the country on the path of greatness after rescuing her from the brinks of collapse engineered by APC misrule.”
