Sen Ohuabunwa felicitates Mrs Ikpeazu @ 56 Gen Ike Nwachukwu @ 81

Senator Mao Ohuabunwa has congratulated the Abia First Lady, Mrs. Nkechi Ikpeazu, Ph.D, on her 56th birthday.
Ohuabunwa described the Abia First Lady as a pilar of support to her husband and source of inspiration to many.
The former Leader, House of Representatives also extolled the humanitarian gestures of Mrs. Ikpeazu which he noted, had brought succour to many Abians especially widows and the down trodden.
According to Senator Ohuabunwa, the Governor’s wife has been a virtoues woman, a bundle of blessings and a role model to many women.
Ohuabunwa who is a member of the National Executive Council, NEC, of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, further described the Abia First Lady as a woman of God and Daughter of Zion whose Christan life had challenged many.
According to the former Senate Committee Chairman on Primary Health and Communicable Diseases, Mrs. Ikpeazu does not make much noise, yet she accomplishes so much.
Senator Ohuabunwa said Mrs. Ikpeazu remained an epitome of humility, simplicity and resourcefulness, and a shining example for Abia women.
He noted that the First Lady had positively affected lives through her Vicar Hope foundation “which has restored hope to so many indigent Abians”.
Ohuabunwa saluted Mrs. Ikpeazu for building over 60 homes for indigent Abia women before her 56th birthday, describing it as an uncommon feat.
He also commended her for her free medical care and scholarship to Abians, among her many other humanitarian gestures.
Sen Ohuabunwa wished the governor’s wife many more successful years ahead, while praying God to grant her more grace to age gracefully.
Senator Ohuabunwa also congratulated former Governor of the old Imo State, Gen. Ike Nwachukwu (rtd) , on his 81st birthday.
He described the former Senator who represented Abia North in the 5th senate as a true patriot and elder statesman whose leadership qualities and exploits have continued to reverberate across the country.

According to him, Gen. Nwachukwu has distinguished himself in different capacities in his service to the country both as a career soldier, and a political leader.
Ohuabunwa described the octogenarian as a proud son of Abia North, one of the leading voices of Ndigbo, and an accomplished Nigerian.
Recalling General Nwachukwu’s glorious days at the Senate, Ohuabunwa wished him well in his 81st birthday, and prayed God to endow him with more wisdom, grace and strength for his old age.
Senator Ohuabunwa challenged the youths, politicians, and aspiring leaders to emulate the dynamic and ingenious qualities of General Nwachukwu whose momentous days in the senate projected Abia in the good light.
