The Methodist Church Nigeria has conferred an award of “Nneoma bu Ihie” (Virtuous mother of Light) on Pastor Princess Chinyere Onuigbo, the wife of Member representing Umuahia/Ikwuano Federal Constituency, Hon. Sam Onuigbo over her numerous contributions towards humanity.
The National award was conferred on Mrs. Onuigbo during the Church’s 88th annual 44th Biennial National Women Fellowship Conference held at the Wesley Cathedral, Crowder Street Umuahia.
Prelate of the Methodist Church Nigeria, His Eminence Samuel Kanu Uche and the Host Archbishop Chibuzo Okpoko extolled the awardee over her virtues and contributions to the church and the people.
The Prelate charged her and other award recipients to always live up to expectation.
Responding, Mrs. Onuigbo who is also a pastor, appreciated the Church for the honour, saying it would spur her for more humanitarian and philanthropic gestures.
She appreciated her husband for his inestimable supports to her, describing him as her pillar.
Adding his voice, Rep Onuigbo said that as a couple, he and his wife had always done the things of the lord together.
The lawmaker pledged his continued support for the church and humanity despite the economic meltdown.
