PDP must be voted out to liberate Abia from yoke of godfatherism – APGA chair

The Chairman of the All Progressive Grand Alliance APGA, Abia State, Rev. Augustine Ehiemere, has said that until the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, is voted out of power, Abia would not be liberated from the yoke of political godfatherism.
Ehiemere who identified political godfatherism as the monster responsible for the woes of the state called on Abians to reject both the ruling PDP and the main opposition All Progressive Congress, APC, blaming them for the problems of the state.
The APGA Chairman who spoke exclusively with Wawa News Global, said there was no difference between PDP and APC as some of the politians who ruined the state under PDP have switched camp to APC masquerading as political saints.
” We need to vote out PDP in 2023 to break away from political godfatherism that is eating up our state.
” Most of them running into APC is because of the money they embezzled while in office under PDP but they won’t escape EFCC”.
Ehiemere regretted that few greedy politicians had for their selfish interests decided to hold the state down, and urged the people to unite behind APGA for their total freedom come 2023.
On the crisis rocking the Anambra State chapter of the party ahead of the November governoship election, Ehiemere blamed political merchants bent on converting the state into their personal estate for the impasse.
He urged the people of the state not to be deceived by political wolves, insisting that APGA remains the party with agenda for the state.
” What is happening in Anambra is regrettable. The judiciary should not allow desperate politicians to use it and ruin our democracy.
” Judges should refrain from sitting in their states to preside over cases they have no jurisdiction. This isn’t healthy for our democracy.
” Anambra should appreciate APGA beginning from ex-Gov. Peter Obi to Willie Obiano. Chukwu Soludo will bring to bear his economic prowess to continue from Obiano who built airport within six months. Which government has such record?”
The Abia APGA Chairman who expressed absolute loyalty to the Chief Victor Oye-led National Working Committee, NWC of the party solicited support for Soludo in the forthcoming governoship poll.
In a separate interview, a member of the Board of Trustees BoT of the party, and the Abia Central senatorial candidate of APGA in 2019, Chief Ahamdi Nweke, dismissed the crisis in Anambra chapter of the party as ” a storm in a tea cup”.
Nweke who chaired the convention that produced Chief Oye as the National Chairman of the party said that those contesting the validity of Oye as the chairman of APGA are impistors and confusionists.
” People with too much money looking for how to spend their money are causing the confusion in Anambra APGA. Victor Oye remains the authentic National Chairman of APGA.
” Money bags are responsible for the political rascality in the state, and should be ignored because they know they are only wasting their time and resources”.
Nweke who predicted that APGA would sweep the state in the forthcoming governoship poll, warned the people of Anambra against allowing the state falling into APC.
