Bayelsa  Assembly seeks synergy with media practitioners

Bayelsa State House of Assembly under the leadership of Rt. Hon.Abraham Ngobere has called for greater synergy between media Practitioners and Bayelsa State House of Assembly for enhanced reportage of the numerous programmes, initiatives and goals of the Douye Diri- led prosperity administration, especially towards achieving the Greater Bayelsa dream.

Hon.Tari Porri, House Committee Chairman on Information, Orientation and Strategy, sought the collaboration when he had a interactive parley with Media Practitioners at the House of Assembly complex, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.

Hon. Tare Porri, member representing Ekeremor constituency one in sixth House of Assembly tasked Media practitioners in the state to be professional in their reportage, noting that the sixth Assemby is always ready to perform it’s constitutional responsibilities of making laws and programmes that will bring the needed dividend of democracy to Bayelsan.

Hon. Porri Further admonished members of the media to always cross-check facts before going to the press, stressing that objectivity should be the watch word of the media.

Hon. Porri frown at reports that the House only approve loans for the executive for frivolities, stating that all loans approved for executive arm are counter-part fundings for institutions like Universal Basic Education Board, SDGs and MDGs amongst others.
