Black Xmas: Gunmen Attack Ex-Militant Leader in Bayelsa

Some yet-to-be identified gunmen have attacked the residence of Eris Paul, a former ex-militant leader also known as Ogunbos at his country home in Peremabiri Community in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of Bayelsa State razing down his Mansion including other properties worth hundreds of thousands.
According to reports, the attack occurred in the early hours of Friday being Christmas day, 25th of December 2020, where armed men stormed the community in speedboats shooting sporadically before setting buildings on fire.
A close family member to Ogunbos said he was attending a burial in the community only to witnessed this terrible attack.
”He is still in the community, doing fine, only that some properties were destroyed .”
Confirming the incident with journalists, Butswat Ansimi, State Command Public Relations Officer, said though normalcy has been restored but several properties were damaged and no life was lost.
