Senator Ohuabunwa congratulates elected Abia LG chairmen, councilors

Senator Mao Ohuabunwa, has congratulated the successful candidates in last Friday’s Local Government Chairmen and Councilorship election in the state who were sworn in today by Gov Okezie Ikpeazu.
The former Speaker, ECOWAS Parliament advised them to see their emergence as an opportunity for impactful service to their people.
He urged them to vigorously pursue their campaign promises and place the interest of their councils and constituencies above personal gains.
Ohuabunwa further urged them to be magnanimous in victory and not discriminate against those who contested against them.
The former Leader, House of Representatives, also advised those who lost at the poll to accept the outcome of the election in the spirit of sportsmanship.
He urged them to throw their support behind the successful candidates in the over all interest of the people.
Ohuabunwa further urged all those who felt offended in anyway by the outcome of the election to put their grievances behind and give peace a chance in the spirit of Christmas.
Recall that the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP swept all 17 Chairmanship seats in the state and 2187 Counselorship positions while the Labour Party won four counselorship seats.
