Ikpeazu sacks Arochukwu LGA boss

* Reinstates Aba North, Aba South

The Transition Committee Chairman of Arochukwu Local Government Area, Mazi Emmanuel Ukwu Obasi Kanu has been removed by Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State.

The action according to findings by Wawa News Global was not unconnected with the alleged malhandling of the Engineer Matthew Ibe-led delegation of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP sent to conduct the party’s primaries for counselorship election.

Apparently piqued by the embarrassment given to the party, the Governor decided to bare his claws on the TC Chairman.

The removal was contained in a press statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Chris Ezem.

Below is the full text of the statement:

Mazi Kanu is by this notice directed to immediately hand over property and affairs of the Council to the Deputy Transition Chairman of the Council.
