Blackmailers behind fake video of Ohuabunwa’s purported US house, exotic cars – Nkole

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Sir Isaac Nkole, an Engineer, has said that blackmailers and wicked political enemies are behind the fake video clip of palacial mansions with exotic cars purportedly belonging to Senator Mao Ohuabunwa who represented Abia North in the eight Senate, now trending on the social media.

Nkole said there was no element of truth in the said video trending on the social media, claiming that those who see the former Speaker, ECOWAS Parliament as a political threat are behind the malicious video.

In a press statement Tuesday in Umuahia, Nkole dismissed the rumour as the handiwork of the Senator’s detractors who want to cash in on the on-going revolution to pitch him against the people.

Nkole who is very close to Ohuabunwa said the Senator “does not believe in amassing wealth, and doesn’t own any house abroad to the best of my knowledge”.

He urged members of the public to completely ignore the video which he dismissed as a hatchet Job by paid agents.

Nkole described one Spartan Arinze on whose Facebook page the video was pasted as a merchant of propaganda recruited by Ohuabunwa’s traducers to discredit him.

His words: “I have seen the fallacious Facebook post by one Spartan Arinze showing mansions with a fleet of exotic cars purportedly belonging to me.

Ordinarily I wouldn’t have bothered to dignify such concocted falsehood with a response but for the fact that people seem to believe every tissue of lie this season.

” I know Follow Better very well. I’m from Abia North and can speak authoritatively about the former Senator who has used his position to affect lives in Abia North when he was in office.

“For the avoidance of doubt, Ohuabunwa doesn’t own any building outside Nigeria. Abia North and all those close to him know that Ohuabunwa doesn’t believe in ostentatious and flamboyant lifestyle and insatiable wealth acquisition.

” He lives a modest life not withstanding his elite family background. He is among the few politicians Nigerians can attest to their modesty, an unambitious gentleman.

” Senator Ohuabunwa has not hidden his support for the on-going #EndSARS protests and demand for good governance by Nigerian youths. It is exercise in futility for mischievous and bitter political enemies of the Senator to think they can incite the youths against him.

“Abia North doesn’t need fake videos or soothsayers to know those who mortgaged their future and diverted public funds meant for the development of the zone as well as our state.”

He recalled that while at the Senate, Ohuabunwa had moved a motion against police brutality and road blocks especially in the South East.

Nkole, therefore, warned those he described as political desperados and mischief makers against using the ongoing youth revolution to undermine their political opponents.

“They will labour in vain to pull down an innocent man. That satanic idea is dead on arrival because we in Abia North know the truth. And all those behind this plot will be consumed by the on-going revolution. This was how they conspired against the Senator in 2019 to whittle down his growing political influence and popularity ahead of 2023, but this time they shall all crash.

“This kite cannot fly. The youths are now wiser,” Nkole boiled.
