Leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, has disclosed that IPOB had raised $120,000 in support of youths protesting against police brutality in Nigeria otherwise known as #EndSARS protesters.
Kanu who made the disclosure during a live broadcast on Radio Biafra Thursday night said the emergency support fund was raised by  IPOB  women in the United States of America.
This is as the IPOB leader hailed Gov. Willie Obiano of Anambra State for sacking his security aide, a former SAR’s boss in the state, James Nwafor over allegations of extra judicial killings while in service.
Kanu who said he was very surprised at the governor’s commendable action called on other governor’s to fully identify with the #EndSAR’s movement.
The IPOB leader who voiced strong support for the protesters said the fund would be used to purchase food and other basic necessities and distributed to the protesting youths on the streets of Nigeria.
He hailed them for their bravery and urged them not to give up until government yields to their demands including total overhaul of the entire Nigeria structure.
The IPOB leader warned security agencies of using force against the protesters.
He however  urged the protesting youths to remain peaceful and resist any temptation to be violent.
Kanu further urged them to beware of government’s tact to compromise them with financial inducements, saying that if they remain consistent, government will soon bow to pressure.
He warned that should they for any reason give up without their demands being fully met they would never be able to get government’s attention for decades.
Kanu strongly criticized government for banning street protests in Abuja under the pretext that the action was to stop the spread of coronavirus.
