Sen Ohuabunwa donates drugs to Ohafia , Isuikwuato general hospitals

Senator Mao Ohuabunwa has donated drugs and medicaments worth millions of Naira to the Ohafia, and Isuikwuato General hospitals respectively.
The items include some vital drugs and hospital disposables.




This is coming barely two weeks after the former Speaker ECOWAS Parliament donated ambulance equiped with state of the art medical equipment, as well as drugs to valued at over N35 million to Arochukwu General hospital and Aro USA Medical Centre in Arochukwu.
Handing over the drugs to the management of Ohafia General hospital, Special Assistant to the Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, Chief Felix Ukpabi said the items were meant to help improve medical services at the hospital.
He said the senator who represented Abia North senatorial district at the eight senate was concerned about the lack of basic drugs in the hospital, and the far reaching implications on the health of the people, hence the intervention.
The senator who commended the efforts of medical personnel at the hospital urged them not to relent in offering their best services for the good of the people.
The former Speaker ECOWAS Parliament promised his continued assistance in promoting health care services in the entire senatorial district.
Receiving the drugs on behalf of the hospital, Dr Mrs Oyidia Kali thanked the senator for the gesture and prayed God to reward reward him aboundantly.
She promised judicious use of the medicaments.
The senator also donated similar quantity of drugs to Isuikwuato General hospital.







Hon Tony Okoro who presented the drugs to the hospital management, said the gesture was borne out of Ohuabunwa’s desire to help the people access better health care delivery.
He called upon the people to always go for routine medical check ups instead of resorting to self medications.
According to him early diagnosis and treatment of ailments reduce cases of avoidable deaths while self medication leads to avoidable health complications.
Mrs ivuonye who received the drugs on behalf of the hospital thanked the senator for the donation.
She called on other public spirited individuals to emulate the good foot prints of the senator.
