TY Danjuma  renovates dilapidated Abia school after Wawa News report

Respite has come the way of Umunnabuo Community Primary School Ihechiowa, Arochukwu Local Government Area of Abia State as TY Danjuma Foundation has renovated its dilapidated structures barely one month after Wawa News Global report on the level of infrastructural decay in the school.

The deplorable condition  of the school was first brought to the fore during on-line virtual interaction by Ihechiowa academics.
Host and anchore of the monthly online engagement, Dr. Uwoma Uche, an Associate Professor at Rahma University Aba, had decried the level of infrastructural decay in public  schools in Ihechiowa, highlighting  its far reaching implications on the academic future the youths of the ancient kingdom.
The education stakeholders in the area had during the interaction,  resolved to embark on renovation of schools in their communities while also appealing to public spirited individuals and groups to also come to their aid.

Dr. Uche who doubles as the pioneer of Ihechiowa Students and Scholars Forum, in a press release, commended the TY Danjuma Foundation for its swift response to their appeal. 
According to the release, the intervention was a morale booster that the efforst of the forum and its media partners towards uplifting the standard of education in their communities are yielding fruit. 
 
The Head, Department of Mass Communication, Rehma University, commended the T Y Danjuma Foundation for the philanthropic gesture, and prayed God to replenish the group.
He noted that the project which was attracted through one of their sons and first guest speaker of the forum,   Kalu Nnukwu Kalu “is part of the fruit of the community-based educational initiative towards community development.”
The Ihechiowa Students and Scholars Forum which had Kalu Nnukwu Kalu as it’s first speaker has also  featured other prominent scholars such as Dr Okwuagwu Okuu of Abia State University Uturu; Dr. Uko Ofe of Veritas University Abuja; and, Dr Sam Ogbaa of Federal University of Technology Owerri.
Others were Njideka Nto from Dubai, and Dr Mrs Chinyere Ulekwu Okoro of the University of Calabar.
The speakers according to the release, have been speaking on topical issues on education, town planning, health care and agriculture as they  affect the development indices of the Ihechiowa people.

Dr. Uche who is the initiator of the forum, therefore, commended the facilitators and appealed to  other kind -hearted  sons and daughters of Ihechiowa  “to give back to the community and assist government in positive and productive rural development initiatives”.
