 Ohuabunwa mourns Abia PDP chair as spate of death in Abia worries Sen Orji

Senator Mao Ohuabunwa has expressed rude shock over the sudden death of the former Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Abia State, Chief Johnson  Onuigbo.
Onuigbo died Monday night of an undisclosed ailment.
This is as the Senator representing Abia Central senatorial district, Senator Theodore Orji has expressed worry over the spate of death across the state particularly Ibeku ancient kingdom which has recorded some high profile deaths in the recent times.
Both the late PDP boss, Onuigbo; and Senator Orji’s physician, Professor Mbanaso who also died suddenly about three weeks ago  hailed from Ibeku.
Another prominent son of Ibeku and former Chairman of the state Local Government Service Commission, Chief Dan Egbogu who died penultimate week also hailed from Ibeku
Ohuabunwa who described the late PDP boss as a gentle and pragmatic leader said his death was a colossal loss both to the PDP family and Abia State.
He regretted that Onuigbo, Mbanaso and Egbogu exited at a time when their  services, wealth of knowledge  and fatherly advice were most needed.
The former Speaker, ECOWAS Parliament who described the late Professor Mbanaso as an exceptional physician described his death as a big blow to the state.
He also regretted that Chief Egbogu, a former lawmaker died at a time his priceless  contributions were  in high demand.
Senator Ohuabunwa condoled with members of the immediate families and prayed God to grant them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
He also commiserated  with Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu over the  painful loss of the PDP boss and other deceased  Abians.
Ohuabunwa equally condoled with the entire PDP family and urged them not to despair over the recent death of some of its high profile members.
Senator Orji who also condoled with immediate family members of the deceased, called for prayers to end the sad development.
The former Governor  urged “all sons and daughters of Ibeku Ancient Kingdom to remain fervent and steadfast in prayers for God’s intervention and protection”.
Senator Orji also urged everyone to “maintain high sense of personal hygiene and continue to abide strictly by all COVID-19 protocols as stipulated by Abia State Government and the NCDC”.
 He prayed God to console all those affected by the demise of the illustrations sons of Ibeku kingdom and to grant the souls of the departed solace in his kingdom.
Ohuabunwa  also urged Abians to seek divine intervention against the spate of deaths in the state.
