Sen Mao Ohuabunwa has described the death of the former Deputy Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Abia State, Chief Allen Nwachukwu (Obioha),  as a monumental loss to the state.
Ohuabunwa who stated this in a condolence message said the PDP chieftain left the stage when his ideas and fatherly in-puts were most needed.
The former Speaker, ECOWAS Parliament who said he received the news of the sudden  demise of the former Commissioner for Works with rude shock, condoled with members of his immediate family, Osisioma Ngwa LGA,  and the PDP family.
Nwachukwu died last week Thursday of an undisclosed ailment
Senator Ohuabunwa who described death as “a necessary end that comes when it must come” prayed God to grant the family, PDP members, the people of Ukwa/Ngwa, and the entire state the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
According to him, the death of Nwachukwu has marked the end of an era, and created a big vacuum in the PDP that may take some time to be filled.
Ohuabunwa noted that the history of the PDP ,and indeed partisan politics in Abia State  would not be complete without a mention of the likes of Nwachukwu,  an iconic political colossus.
Ohuabunwa said the late Nwachukwu had dutifully served the state at various capacities including as former Chairman of Osisioma LGA, Commissioner, PDP Deputy State Chairman, and as an Ex-Officio member of the South East PDP leadership.
He also prayed God to grant the soul of the departed a repose in heaven, describing him as a man who  sacrificed so much in service to humanity.
