Bayelsa : ‘Was hope Uzodinma not sworn in as Imo gov? Activist queries Oshiomhole
By Paul Njoku
A human rights activist and author, Comrade Paul Ikechukwu Njoku, has queried why the National Chairman of All Progressive Congress, APC, Comrade Adams Oshiohomle, should incite an unbridled disobedience to the Supreme Court order by declaring that “neither Diri nor any other person will be sworn-in as Bayelsa State Governor”.
The activist further queried “if Senator Hope Uzodinma of Imo State not sworn-in as the governor of Imo State in compliance with the Supreme Court order on January 14, 2020”.
In a statement, Comrade Njoku, “said that a certain Federal High Court had already disqualified the Bayelsa APC candidacy prior to the election”. He therefore appealed to Comrade Adams Oshiomhole and his political party to obey the apex court order and avoid making inciting statements capable of causing disaffections and war in the peaceful Bayelsa State”.
Recall that the Supreme court was on February 13, 2020, nullified and sacked the Bayelsa State governor-elect, David Lyon and his running-mate, Sen.Biobarskuma Degi-Eremienyo, on certificate forgery and pre-election matters.
