Nnamdi Kanu to speak on ‘hate speech bill’, ‘diplomatic efforts to dissolve Nigeria’ today – IPOB

The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has hinted that its Leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, will today, address the world on the death sentence being mulled for hate speech offenders in the proposed Bill to establish a National Commission for the Prohibition of Hate Speeches.

The controversial bill which passed its first reading on the floor of the Senate last week is being sponsored by the the Deputy Chief Whip of the Senate, Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi.

The Bill which also considers life sentence or N10 million fine is coming barely one week after the same chamber initiated moves to regulate the use of social media in the country.

Angry reactions and public condemnations have also trailed the bill since it was made public last week.

IPOB in a statement by its Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful said Kanu would in a live broadcast on Radio Biafra, London bare his mind on the “toxic bill “.

Powerful who gave 7:00 pm (Nigeria time) as time for the live broadcast, also said the IPOB Leader, would during the broadcast, disclose some diplomatic steps being taken by the group to dismember Nigeria and restore the break-away republic.

The statement made available to Wawa News Global read in part : We wish to announce the upcoming special broadcast by our indomitable leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu on Radio Biafra London at 7 pm Biafraland Time on Saturday 16 November 2019.

“As part of this broadcast, our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu will educate and enlighten listeners on the diplomatic steps being taken by IPOB to bring about Biafra restoration and collaborative efforts with other ethnic nationalities to bring about the peaceful dissolution of Nigeria as the only viable means of stopping the perpetual reign of terrorism, feudal conquest and enthronement of mediocrity, primitive repression and mindless government brutality.

“IPOB’s International diplomatic onslaught is shaking the foundation of Nigeria and the proposed bill to kill innocent and peaceful human beings in Nigeria for free speech will finally put the miserable and damnable existence of Nigeria to a well deserved miserable end.

“Our leader’s broadcast on Radio Biafra on Saturday will enlighten, educate and reinforce the inevitability of the collapse of the artificial British colonial experiment called Nigeria.”
