‘The ‘I’ in Abia should be allowed to produce gov in 2023′ – Rep

As intrigues over the 2023 race are gradually gathering momentum, the member representing Isuikwuato /Umunneochi federal constituency, Hon. Nkiruka Onyejeocha has insisted that the constituency should be allowed to produce the next Abia governor in 2023.
The four -term legislator said the letter “I” in the Abia acronym had never had the opportunity to produce the state governor or occupy any sensitive position in the state.
She argued that where as the Old Bende, Umuahia and Aba clans respectively had taken their turns , only Isuikwuato division comprising Isuikwuato and Umunneochi clans that was yet to produce governor.
The lawmaker further argued that for equity and Justice to prevail, Isuikwuato division should be allowed to produce the governor in 2023.
She urged other clans in Abia North to support Isuikwuato division in the agitation to produce the next Abia governor in the spirit of equity.
