450 candidates in Awgu/Oji River fed constituency to enjoy free WAEC registration
* More to benefit as selection process continues

No fewer than 450 candidates for the 2020 West African Examination Council (WAEC) May /June  Senior School Certificate Examination, SSCE  in Awgu/Aninri/Oji River federal constituency, are to enjoy free registration courtesy of the member representing the constituency at the House of Representatives, Hon. Toby Okechukwu.

The Deputy Minority Leader has embarked on the Project  as a way of promoting education in his constituency.
The annual gesture according to his Media Aide , Tochukwu Chukwu , is also aimed at assisting indigent students in the constituency to  acquire basic education without encumbrances.
According to  a press release by the Media Aide, 250 students have so far been selected for the free registration after the second day of the exercise that will cover all public schools in all  three Local Government Areas in the constituency.
The selection process which is by random picking of “Yes Now” and “No ” ballot papers by students will continue  in Oji River on Tuesday.

“Continuation of the selection process for Rt. Hon Toby Okechukwu’s free WAEC registration
*Day  Two
“The selection process for Rt.Hon Toby Okechukwu’s free WAEC registration continued yesterday,  Friday 11th October 2019.
“The free WAEC registration program is an annual platform in which Rt. Hon Toby Okechukwu uses to Empower students of his Constituency.
“His immense belief that an investment in Education pays the greatest interest as it guarantees the eradication of ignorance,  has led him to create such an amazing platform .
“The team was led by Rt.Hon Toby Okechukwu’s Campaign DG and former commissioner for Information, Enugu state, Dr. Godwin ikechukwu Udeuhere, he was accompanied by Hon.Egwuonwu Obasi, Barr. P.C Chukwu, hon.Chinweuba Okeke, hon. Ani isreal, Mazi Okwu Nnabuike, comrade Victor Onuoha, and the team’s photographer, Ibrahim Salami.
“This time,  the team stormed fourteen(14) public school located in Awgu south.
“The selection process as usual was done via balloting. The pieces of paper with the “yes now or No later ” inscription were stacked into a box and placed before the students to pick from.
“A “yes now” inscription indicates that the student has been selected for the program after being scrutinized for eligibility.
“One of highlights of the selection process was recorded in Technical school Mgbidi, where a physically challenged female student by name Ibeh Janet,picked a “yes now” inscribed piece of paper.
“Also, at Urban Girls’ Secondary School Ugwuleshi, Awgu,  A disabled girl whose name is Ani Jennifer, was favored by fate as she also picked a “yes now “inscribed paper.
“A total number of two hundred and fifty(250) prospective WAEC candidates were selected after the day’s Exercise.
“The selection process brought much joy and elation to the schools visited by the team, it was indeed an Emotional moment as teachers, parents and students were expressing their heartfelt joy through dancing as they poured their heart in prayers to the God sent benefactor.
“All prospective WAEC candidates within Awgu/Aninri/Oji river federal constituency should put on their best favor and luck regalia as the selection process continues in public schools located in Oji river local government area on Tuesday morning to the glory of God”.
