Abia new NIMC boss warns staff against extortion

Mr Loveday Ogbanna, the new State Coordinator of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) in Abia has charged the staff to shun extortion and corruption but remain committed to work.
Ogbonna, according to a statement by his Media desk officer, Emmanuel Ukwuani gave the charge when he assumed duty at the State Office in Umuahia on Monday.
Ogbonna, who took over from the outgoing coordinator, Mr. Ukpabi Eni, promised to intensify the enrollment drive in the state while building on the successes and achievements of his predecessor.
According to the statement made available to Wawa News Global, Ogbonna has during his maiden meeting with the state management team, rolled out new approaches and partnerships aimed at galvanizing all managers and stakeholders for optimum performance.
He admonished the management team to display high level of discipline, professionalism and honesty in discharging their duties.
He enjoined staff across the state to redouble their efforts, make meaningful contributions and suggestions that would move NIMC Abia forward.
The former coordinator, in his farewell address, thanked the management and staff for their cooperation, support and commitment.
Ukpabi urged the managers to accord the new coordinator the same support and cooperation he enjoyed.
Before his deployment to Abia, Ogbonna had served the commission in various capacities. Until his deployment, Ogbonna was the Head of Corporate Communications Unit at the headquartres.
He was also a Special Assistant (Admin) to the former Director General, Mr Chris Onyemenam.
