Breaking : Heavy protest in Zamfara over killings

Reports reaching Wawa News Global desk say heavy protest has erupted in Zamfara State over  incessant killings in the state by armed bandits suspected to be herdsmen.

The protesters mainly women were said to have blocked major roads in Gusau the state capital.

According to reports the irate mob was also destroying campaign billboards and posters of President Muhammadu Buhari.

The protesters accused Buhari  and Gov. Abdulaziz Yari of failing to protect lives and property of residents .

As at the time of filing this report,  security operatives were battling to contain the situation to avoid hoodlums and street urchins from hijacking the protest .
