Shun divisiveness, synergise to recover your lost grounds, PDP tells Isuikwuato stakeholders

Thousands of teeming supporters and Party faithful turned out in their numbers to receive the State Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party,Rt.Hon.Alwell Asiforo Okere,Ph.D and Members of the State Executive Committee of the Party when the team stormed Isuikwuato Local Government Area in the on-going sensitization/awareness tour embarked upon by the State Chapter of the Party.

Speaking during the sensitization tour held on Wednesday at the Isuikwuato Local Government Pavilion,Rt.Hon.Asiforo Okere expressed his delight and satisfaction on the modest achievements of the Executive Chairman of Isuikwuato Local Government Area,Hon.Chima Agbaeze,maintaining that the number of projects he has executed within the last one year of his administration is a testament of the Party’s principle of delivering people oriented leadership in the State.

The State PDP Chairman who described the Executive Chairman of Isuikwuato as a pride of the Party at the Local Government level, commended him for embarking on laudable projects aimed at consolidating on the achievements of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu in the State and challenged him and other Party stakeholders in the area to work in synergy in order to recover all the elective political offices lost by the Party during the last general elections.

He congratulated the decampees from other political parties while handing over the PDP flags to them and assured them that henceforth, that they would enjoy all the privileges in the Party.

Earlier in his speech,the Executive Chairman of Isuikwuato Local Government Area,Hon.Chima Agbaeze congratulated the State PDP Chairman and Members of his State Exco for emerging victorious during the last Party elections while appreciating the purposeful and pragmatic leadership of the State PDP Chairman which he said has given quality directions to the Party, declaring that peace and unity is now the hallmark of the Party in the State.

The Executive Chairman of Isuikwuato Local Government who reeled out his achievements so far to include;

*Recruitment and intensive training of over twenty youths from the area and equipped them with necessary gadgets which to assist the police to reduce drastically the menace of kidnapping in the area,

*Ongoing construction of Isuikwuato Local Government Central Motor Park at Ahaba Imenyi with about one hundred and fifty lock-up shops.

*Completed the reconstruction of Obilohia-Umuobiala Civic Hall.

*Extension of electricity to Ulonna North Farm Settlement,Umuobiala.

*Reconstruction of Umuanyi Absu Uturu Motor Park and construction of new market stalls inside the park.

Provision of six (6) motorcycles, fifteen bicycles and Android telephone gadgets to Isuikwuato Local Government Vigilant Squad to help prevent crime.

*Installation of transformer at Umuobiala Community amongst other projects.He assured the State PDP Exco that Isuikwuato is by every means,the home of PDP and that the leaders of the area would work in unity to recover all the lost political positions in the area.

Speaking on behalf of other stakeholders, a former Military Governor of Cross River State, Navy Captain Chris Osondu,Rtd.,a former Transition Committee Chairman of the Isuikwuato Local Government Area,Hon Osita Igbe,a former Commissioner for Finance,Chief Emmanuel Ibegbulam,the Chairman of PDP in the area,Mr.Charles Emenike,the Abia North Zonal Secretary of PDP, Hon Ndubuisi Pascal Ukeje and the State Woman Leader of PDP in the State,Lolo Christy Emenike, expressed their confidence on the State PDP Chairman and Members of his State Executive Committee to reposition the Party in the State and called on the State Governor to remember Isuikwuato in the areas of political appointments which they said, will boost their political participation and activities as a people.

Highpoint of the sensitization tour was the handing over of PDP flags to decampees from other political parties to the PDP, the commissioning of projects executed by the Executive Chairman of Isuikwuato Local Government Area and laying of foundation for a new office block by the State PDP Chairman while the visit attracted the presence of an array of dignitaries from the area.
