Senator Orji hails Okonjo-Iweala on new appointment

Senator Theodore Orji representing Abia Central, has congratulated Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala in her new appointment as the Director General, World Trade Organization, WTO.

The former Abia Governor described Okonjo-Iweala’s new job as a square peg in a square hole.

Senator Orji in a statement by his Chief Liaison Officer, Hon. Ifeanyi Umere, described Okonjo-Iweala as a proud Abia and an accomplished African whose ingenuity and expertise in global economy is unmatched.

He said the former Finance Minister had distinguished herself in various public positions she occupied both at home and at the global arena.

The former Goveenor recalled with delight various contributions by Okonjo-Iweala in drawing the economic road map for Abia during his administration.

He said he was confident that the global economy and international trade would witness tremendous boom under the watch of Okonjo-Iweala as the WTO boss.
