Professor Iwe emerges new VC MOUAU

Professor Maduebibisi Iwe has emerged the new Vice Chancellor of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike.
He emerged after a rigorous screening exercise that was keenly contested by other candidates.

IWe, a Professor of Food Science Technology was the Deputy Vice Chancellor to the out-going VC, Professor Otunta.
The Amuda Isuochi-born professor and ardent Christian will be sworn in as the 6th Vice-Chancellor of the University by the end of February 2021 when the tenure of the incumbent VC will elapse.
Iwe’s emergence is seen as a divine intervention to rescue the institution from total collapse in view of his integrity, wealth of knowledge and rich connections which he is expected to bring to bare.
MOUAU crashed from its enviable height after the exit of the immediate-past Professor Hilary Edeoga-led management which had transformed it from a glorified secondary school to a referral citadel of learning.
