Orji Kalu denies canceling foreign trip for fear of ‘Ekweremadu treatment’

Senate Chief Whip and senator representing Abia North , Orji Uzor Kalu, has said that his cancellation of invitation to an Igbo event in Spain was not to avoid receiving a mob attack as was meted out to Senator Ike Ekweremadu by angry members of the Indigenous People of Biafra, in Germany on Saturday.
The former Abia Governor who gave the explanation in a statement issued on Monday by his media office said the report on social media that he declined from the trip was untrue.
Recall that IPOB after the mob attack on Ekweremadu placed N1millon bounty on some Igbo political elite including most South East Governors presumed not to be sympathetic to the plight of the people.
