Gov Umahi set to dump PDP for APC – Ogbuji

Gov. Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State is set to dump his party, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for the All Progressive Congress, APC, Senator Sonni Ogbuji has alleged.
Senator Ogbuji who was the APC candidate in the March 23 poll in Ebonyi said Umahi’s defection would take place on or before May 29 ,2019.
Ogbuji who made the claims at a press conference in Enugu also revealed that Umahi had been the APC mole in PDP.
He alleged that Umahi’s presidential ambition in 2023 was behind the moves.
Ogbuji accused Umahi of rigging the governorship poll.
But in a swift reaction, Umahi’s Chief Press Secretary, Emmanuel Uzo dissmised the allegation as “a new propaganda machinery of APC “.
He urged members of the public to ignore him, insisting that his boss remains a bonafide member of the PDP.
