Close to two months after they arrived Nigeria despite public outcries, the Federal Government, Thursday said they did not know the whereabouts of the Chinese medical team.

Minister of Health,  Osagie Ehanire who disclosed this while responding to question during the daily press briefing of the Presidential Task Force on Covid-19 said the Federal Government was not the host of the Chinese Team.

He equally said that some of the members of the team were not medical personnel but mere technicians and company workers.

The Minister however noted that government interacted with them upon their arrival on their experiences in handling the pandemic in their home country.

He said that since the team was not the guests of the federal government, it could not account for their whereabouts.

Recall that the proposal to import the Chinese Team sparked controversy and public outrage, which many Nigerians rejecting the proposal.
