Compliance With Sit-at-Home Shows Biafrans Won’t Abandon Nnamdi Kanu — IPOB
The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has described what it termed “total and overwhelming compliance” with the sit-at-home observed in solidarity with Onitsha traders as a clear indication that Biafrans remain steadfast in their support for its detained leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

IPOB stated this in a press statement issued on Monday by its Media and Publicity Secretary, following reports of widespread compliance with the sit-at-home across parts of the South-East and other areas it refers to as Biafraland.
According to the group, the action was a peaceful but firm expression of unity and resolve by the people, stressing that intimidation or coercion would not weaken their loyalty to Kanu.

“The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) confirms total and overwhelming compliance with the sit-at-home directive issued across Biafraland,” the statement said.
“This historic show of unity has once again demonstrated that the deep love, loyalty, and resolve of the Biafran people toward Mazi Nnamdi Kanu cannot be broken by threats, intimidation, or state-sponsored coercion.”
The group said that compliance was recorded in several parts of the region, including Omambala, Onitsha and other major towns across the South-East, describing it as a collective affirmation of the people’s shared identity and aspirations.
“From Omambala to Onitsha and across the South-East, the people have spoken with one voice,” the statement added, noting that the sit-at-home sent a strong message that supporters would not be forced to abandon their leader.

IPOB maintained that the continued detention of Kanu had further strengthened the resolve of its supporters, insisting that their actions were rooted in a demand for justice and self-determination.
“This peaceful but firm compliance is a clear message that the Biafran people will not be compelled to betray their collective will or abandon their leader,” the group said.
While reiterating its commitment to order and discipline, IPOB warned against what it described as attempts to intimidate or suppress its supporters, arguing that such actions only reinforce their cause.
“Biafraland has spoken. The world is watching, and the resolve of our people remains unshaken,” the statement concluded.
