By Steve Oko
Former Governor of Abia State Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu, Saturday afternoon paid a courtesy visit to Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State.
Ugwuanyi and his guest are currently meeting at the Government House Enugu according to information obtained by Wawa News Global.
The mission of Kalu who was returning from Daura in Katsina State where he was conferred with a chieftancy title by the Emir of Daura is yet unknown but there are speculations he may have gone to woo the Governor to the All Progressive Congress (APC).
Kalu, who prides himself as the APC leader in South East is making spirited efforts to market the party in the zone ahead of 2019 polls.
APC is largely unpopular in South East according to the outcome of 2015 polls but some chieftains of the party in the zone are working assiduously to boost the party's image in the zone.
As at the time of filing this report, the outcome of the meeting between Kalu and Ugwuanyi is yet to be made public.
