Abia police arrest 346 suspects, rescue 15 kidnap victims, recover 110 arms, 53 vehicles in 9 months

The Abia State Police Command says no fewer than 102 kidnap and 96 robbery suspects as well as 128 suspected cultists were arrested in the state between February and October 16, 2019.
Commissioner of Police, Etim Okon who disclosed this in a press release he personally signed also said 20 motorcycle snatchers were also arrested within the period under review.
According to the release made available to Wawa News Global, 57 kidnap victims were also rescued while 53 stolen vehicles were recovered.
The release further said 212 ammunition , 110 firearms were recovered.
Police also said 258 of the suspects had already been charged to court.
The release restated police readiness flush out criminal elements from the state while urging members of the public to volunteer information about criminals in their vicinity.
